As Manager of Service Design at Rêve, Carmen believes that good design and great experiences begin with empathy.

In 2015, Carmen moved to Minneapolis from Toronto to join our team of dreamers.

Prior to joining Rêve, Carmen worked for design consultancies in Toronto and Berlin. At Bridgeable, she helped design new human centered healthcare solutions. At PCH Innovations, she created long-range trend forecasts for an international automotive client. Carmen also worked in Uganda where she redesigned wheelchairs for landmine victims.

At Rêve, Carmen’s work focuses on deepening our service design practice, with an emphasis on ethnographic research, concept development and prototyping. She enjoys working with teams to tackle complexity and bring clarity using sketching and storytelling to achieve alignment and deliver design solutions that exceed client expectations.

Carmen holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University.

She believes that design is an invaluable tool. It is interdisciplinary, adaptive, and at the end of the day always about people. It isn’t just about finding a solution to a problem, but imagining ways for a new future.
