Jan 29 Rêve Reflect: The Pursuit of Invention
Last week, we were honored to have another round of speakers join us for Rêve Reflect, our happy hour with a twist. This time, our theme was “The Pursuit of Invention”: from hockey sticks to IoT, we invited inventors who are spearheading the creation of real, tangible products.
Justin Grammens builds smart and connected IoT products as Co-Founder of Lab 651. Justin shared different examples of inventions that look at the world differently. We were particularly impressed to learn about Vitals™, an app that seeks to make the world safer for vulnerable populations, such as people with autism. It’s designed to provide first responders and officers with data about a person’s diagnosis, medications and caregiver contact information, plus suggested de-escalation techniques, including the voice of a loved one.
Making life easier and more enjoyable for people with disabilities was also close to the heart of our next speaker, Molly Fuller. She’s passionate about creating clothing that has a medical purpose while also being fashionable. Her first product is a compression shirt for teens available at Molly Fuller Design.
Last but not least, Andy Oman shared his journey in revolutionizing the hockey stick as Founder and CEO at Elevate Hockey. The design is still under wraps, but if you’re into hockey, stay tuned for their launch in the not too distant future!
We love inviting people with the drive and ability to see the world differently–if you’d like to be invited to our next Rêve Reflect, please sign up for updates below.
